The sewer camera, also known as a sewer endoscope, is a high-tech device that works on the principle of closed-circuit television. It consists of three main parts: a camera head, a control unit, and a cable reel, which can be manually controlled by connecting a cable camera to the position in the pipeline, filming, and recording the situation inside the pipeline. This sewer camera is used in a wide range of applications, from municipal networks to industrial pipelines, from oil networks to the automotive aviation industry, and even sewage discharge and supply water networks.
I was particularly fascinated by how the sewer camera works. It is able to clearly capture every detail of the inside of a pipeline by using a high-definition pixel camera and 6 or 12 high-brightness LEDs as a light source, along with an 8-inch screen or 10-inch, even 13-inch image display monitor. Moreover, it is designed to be very flexible, the diameter of the camera probe can be from 10mm to 55mm and the length can be up to 30m ~ 150m. This design allows the sewer camera to adapt to a variety of complex pipeline environments.
